Yoav Ben-Shlomo |
Professor of Clinical Epidemiology Pr. Yoav Ben-Shlomo is one of the leading neuroepidemiologist and movement disorders experts in the UK. He has undertaken a wide range of different studies from cross-sectional, case-control, cohort and randomised controlled trials. He has also undertaken data analysis of routine datasets from primary care and hospital admissions. He has developed conceptual models around life course epidemiology that have been widely cited and helped tests these ideas in a wide variety of datasets. He leads the epidemiological aspects of the PD-Discovery cohorts (PI Michele HU) and Tracking PD cohorts (PI Donald Grossett) which together form the largest detailed natural history PD cohorts in the world. He has experience with data harmonisation and with Daniella Berg’s group in Tübingen has undertaken proof of concept analyses demonstrating the validity of converting different olfaction and cognitive scales for large-scale meta-analyses. |
