Senior Researcher in Bioinformatics Core Group at the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine(LCSB)

Venkata Satagopam is a Senior Research Scientist leading Medical Informatics at Bioinformatics core facility, LCSB, University of Luxembourg and Technical Coordinator of ELIXIR-LU Node. Before joining LCSB, between 2004-2012 he worked as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany. Before EMBL he worked as a Bioinformatics Scientist at LION bioscience AG, Heidelberg, Germany. His research interests are in the fields of Data Integration and Knowledge Management; Clinical and Translational Data Curation, Harmonisation, Integration and Analysis; Dynamic Visual Analytics; Text-mining; Deep learning and advanced machine learning technologies and has published over 30 publications. He is an associate editor of Frontiers in Systems Biology, involved in the organisation of several conferences, workshops, code/data hackathons.
