Michael Lawton

Medical Statistician

Michael Lawton is a medical statistician based at the University of Bristol under the supervision of Yoav Ben-Shlomo. He has been working as the main project statistician for the PD-Discovery (PI Michele Hu) and Tracking Parkinson’s (PI Donald Grosset) cohorts since 2013. His notable statistical work in PD includes data harmonisation of both cognitive and olfaction tests and using data driven techniques for subtype detection. He also has experience in longitudinal modelling and the development and validation of diagnostic algorithms. As well as carrying out statistical analyses he is also involved in both studies as a data manager and works to ensure data quality and consistency.
