Manon Gantenbein

Head of the Clinical and Epidemiological Investigation Center at the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH)

Dr. Manon Gantenbein is the current head of the Clinical and Epidemiological Investigation Center (CIEC) at the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH). The CIEC is a national clinical research unit, aiming to promote clinical research in Luxembourg and support local projects, researchers and principal investigators. She holds a MSc in Biochemistry and a PhD in Pharmacology, with past experience as Lead Monitor in the pharmaceutical industry (2005-2009). In this position Manon Gantenbein coordinated several multicenter registration trials in Multiple Sclerosis among others as well as Early Development phase I studies in Parkinson Disease. Manon Gantenbein joined the CIEC in 2009 as a Coordinator, where she contributed to the development of the CIEC by interacting with local health care professionals, researchers and scientists and providing operational expertise to the set-up of numerous clinical research projects in the fields of oncology, infectious diseases, pneumology, nutrition, diabetes and cardiology. She has a sound knowledge in clinical research with past working experience in France, Germany and Luxembourg. Manon Gantenbein is contributing to a specific workgroup within the National Cancer Plan and is an active member of the scientific board of the Centre François Baclessse.
