Malte Weber

Malte Weber is currently Sales Manager for Life Science Automation at Beckman Coulter. He started out his journey in life science at the Ecole Superior de Biotechnology de Strasbourg / University Louis Pasteur where he also completed his PhD in the field of “Cloning of Scl-70 specific human autoantibodies as standard for diagnostic testing” in 2003. Having always had a strong liking of the applied science he moved through different research positions with Roche Diagnostics GmbH and MorphoSys AG staying mainly in the recombinant human antibody field before entering into a consultative solution providing role. In the latter he served the life science research, diagnostic and pharma market within AbD Serotec GmbH a Bio Rad company and Molecular Devices Drug Discovery division. Since two and a half years he is enjoying it very much to be part of the puzzle that aims to bring tailored and innovative solutions to the research and pharma world to address the needs of today’s science such as automated cell culture processes or automated genomics. Being asked what drives him he stated that dealing with highly professional researchers in an ever faster moving environment of academic and government research and drug discovery feels very much rewarding..
